The 2008 Riesling vom Schiefer dry pleases immediately with its perfect balance of ripeness, fruit and mineral flavours, with a little bit fine fruit sweetness. The wine is lovely fresh and you will fancy instantly the next mouth-full, which may turn out a bit larger, as the wine has only 11% alc. A Riesling wine suited also for acid sceptics.

Reiner and Anke Fries rightly enjoy the reputation to produce the best Weißburgunder (White Burgundies/Pinot Blancs) and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) Red Wines of the region as well as bright, playful Rosé-Wines. The "Terrassen-Rieslinge" present themselves quite straightforward, with power, minerality and light freshness. A unique performance for the entire Mosel-Region!
